About Clasp

Clasp began with one bag: a plain tote its maker wanted and could not find. No logo, good leather, a strap that stayed on the shoulder and a pocket for keys. Friends asked for one, then their friends did.

Today we make totes, shoulder bags, crossbody bags and small evening bags in small batches, from full-grain leather, solid brass and cotton.

How we work

We work with two tanneries and one workshop we visit every year. Each bag is cut, stitched and edged by hand, and checked before it is packed.

If a strap or a zip gives up, write to us. We repair our bags for as long as you carry them.
